The AQUALARM device consists in an immersed probe which reacts to the differences of pressure in the swimming pool. These data are transmitted to a microprocessor thanks to electronic circuit. This microprocessor analyzes the signal, and, thanks to advanced mathematical functions, eliminates the data parasites (climatic disturbances, cleaning robot, filtration system ...)

The efficiency of this system was demonstrated by the tests conduced by the official Laboratory National Essays (LNE) which concluded that Aqualarm was in conformity with the standard NF P 90-307 relative to swimming-pool alarms.

Device Aqualarm

Aqualarm is constituted by two elements :

- the pool alarm device, which settles down at the edge of the swimming pool and
- a remote device/alarm (in option) which permits to deport the alarm and the indicators in the house.

Both communicate by secured radio link. Several detection devices can dialogue with the remote alarm which centralizes the informations.

The Standard NF P 90-307 relating to swimming pool alarms imposes that any fall is detected within maximum 12 seconds. Therefore, the alarm system cannot be located in more than 7 meters from a possible falling point. AQUALARM permits to ensure the monitoring of a swimming pool which could be registered in a half-circle of ray 7 m (it is the case for example of a 5x10m swimming pool). Beyond, and in accordance with the legislation (standard NF P90-307), the swimming pool must be equipped with one or more supplementary device(s).

Note: you have the possibility to parameterize a radio connection so that the various immersion detectors communicate between them, the same that with remote device. Thus, when for example the user wishes to bathe, he just has to type his code on one device only.

The standard imposes that the alarm is audible since the house. According to the setting-up(presence) of the swimming pool with regard to the house, it will maybe be necessary to deport the signals of safety(security), alert and failure so that they are heard(understood) since the house. A check is imperative(leads) in the course of installation. If the alarm is not correctly audible, it will necessarily be necessary to install(settle) the adjournment(transfer) of power plant of AQUALARM.

Remote device Aqualarm

The installation of the remote device is a supplementary comfort:

In case of detection of fall or dumping in the swimming pool, the remote siren is also activated.
In case of detection of a low level of batteries or sensor's problem, the remote device indicates too the failure by a light and sound signal.
System management all the operations can be realized from the device keyboard or its remote one.
In case of detection of an attempt of theft of the device (dismantling without seizure beforehand of the personal identification number), the siren of the remote device is also activated

This kind of protection can be chosen if the position of the swimming pool permits an intervention in less than 3 minutes.
Some cleaning robots like diving robot, some Swim Against Current systems or strong flow filtration systems are not compatible with immersion detectors
Swimming pools with an access to water lower than 30% without break of hillsidecannot be equipped with a immersion detection system as alone protection.
The tests with the wind were carried out according to standard NF P 90-307 methods , i.e. with a speed of 12m/s. Beyond this speed, and in particular for in gust of wind blowing , the sensitivity of Aqualarm is reduced. A failure signal (sound beep and luminous indicator) is then emitted to alert the user on this loss of sensitivity.
